What is Camera Motion from Video?
Enhance your cinematic storytelling through precise camera framing, movement, and positioning. Plan and direct each shot with the kind of motion used by filmmakers on set, from dolly-ins to sweeping pans, plus impossible moves that would require expensive equipment or VFX.
Whether you need a close-up, medium, or wide shot, an over-the-shoulder view to capture an exchange between two actors, or an establishing shot to show off a location, Marey lets you control the shoot.
How It Works
To allow this kind of control, Marey first needs to process a video as a 3D scene. Once the 3D scene has been rendered, you are then able to animate and keyframe a virtual camera to your desired output.
Here's a breakdown of how that works:
Open up 'Camera motion from video' on the generation console, found in the 'Controls' menu
βSelect the video you want to add camera motion to
Click 'Input vid' to upload a video. When you've made your selection, click 'Open'.
After you've made your video selection, it will say 'Ready for camera direction'. Click 'Edit' and wait while the scene is created.
Animate your camera around your scene
A new window will appear with a video editor timeline and several camera positioning controls. In the viewport you'll see your video as a 3D scene. Click 'Play' or drag the playhead along the timeline to see your original video play in 3D.
Changing the camera position is easy:
Once you're satisfied with your camera changes, click 'Render'.
After your new camera motion has been rendered, write a prompt for your video.
Click 'Generate' and wait for your video to populate for review. Reminder to rate your videos to help us improve your outputs.
